FIRST FERRARI DETECTIVE NOVEL A thriller by Wallace Wyss, whose fine art work we sell at Albaco, has sent us one of the first off the press of his new mystery thriller novel, FERRARI HUNTERS.
Wyss is an accomplished writer, with ten non-fiction books to his credit, including two on Ferrari.
This is an exciting mystery thriller of over 400 pages. The author calls it "the first "errari detective novel" because it features a protagonist, a hard boiled detective, who buys and sells Ferraris as he is solving crimes like murder. In this first in the series, the detective has accepted an assignment to help a small boutique automaker recover their stolen multi-million dollar prototype. Along the way he goes to Monterey during car week, gets shot at, gets his yacht blown out from under him and seduced, not necessarily in that order. If you wish you had the time to be a "Ferrari barn hunter," this is the novel you want to read. The author himself was a Ferrari "barn finder" in the '80s and authored two books on Ferrari. He also wrote SHELBY The Man The Cars The Legend that was optioned by two Brit filmakers who are at this moment using it as the basis for a TV miniseries about LeMans in the '50s and '60s. This is an advance preview edition of FERRARI HUNTERS, not a mass market version because, in fact, no publisher has yet been signed. Each one is personally signed by the author and we are honored to be the first mail order business to feature it.
